CCHS is short for the Columbia County Historical Society.  CCHS is interested in preserving the history of Columbia County, and sharing that history with people who live in the county and visitors, from young students all the way up to adults (and luckily, groundhogs too!).  CCHS has a museum and a research library in Kinderhook, NY.  It also takes care of the Luykas Van Alen House, the Vanderpoel House of History, and the Ichabod Crane Schoolhouse.
